When Kadon Attacks!

Here is rare footage of a wild Kadon captured on Christmas morning. Forgive the shaky camera work as the camera man was terrified that at any moment the beast would turn its rage on him.

Long Lapse

So my old laptop died, and when I set up my new laptop's internet I forgot to add our blog to my bookmarks. Then two months passed before I realized I hadn't updated our blog. I guess out of sight out of mind really works when you've got 3 kids. So now I get to try and catch up.

Turkey Day

Thanksgiving was great this year. Here Kadon and Kyrie are posing with their traditional turkey hats.

Halloween Costumes

Nate chose our Halloween costumes this year. Unfortunately the wig made him look more Clinton instead of McCain. Our buttons say McCain Palin 1908. Piper was the Drill Baby. Nate won "costume most unlike himself" at his work party. He lost "scarriest costume" to Joe Plumber because the only thing scarier than McCain Palin is someone who believes in McCain Palin. (His company is pretty liberal.)

Kadon drew an example of the face for Nate. He was right there with the paper to make sure Nate cut it just the same. Kyrie was trying to help out too. She was lucky she didn't lose any fingers 'cause she kept sticking them in Nate's way.

Kadon's Photography

Kadon took all these pictures at Bridal Veil Falls up Provo Canyon. He got some great shots. Of course the last one was his favorite. Kyrie got tired of posing and turned to pick something up right when Kadon shot the picture.

Froggy Bathroom

So the kid's bathroom has been on my list of rooms to redo. Here are the before and after shots.

I found these frog prints at a garage sale last year and decided to use them as the muse for this bathroom. I sewed new hooded towels for the kids. Kadon gets blue, Kyrie gets yellow, and Piper gets green.



















Walmart had a super cute frog shower curtain. The vanity cabinet used to be wood, so I painted it white to give it a fresh, clean look.

















This vanity doesn't have any drawers. Not very ideal for a kid's bath. Luckily IKEA is there for such occasions. Now we have hanging buckets for toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs and brushes. The shelf is great for gel and Kyrie's clips and bows are in the boxes.

Piper's Blessing

Piper was blessed on October 12th by her daddy, her Grandpa Thompson, Grandpa Packard and Great-Grandpa Packard.

Piper is wearing a blessing outfit crocheted by Nate's Grandma Theall. It was beautiful.

Fall Colors

Kadon had early out from school for parent teacher conferences, so we took a drive up Provo Canyon to look at the pretty fall leaves.

Lord of the Flies

This is what Kyrie looked like the day before our Primary Quarterly Activity. I let her play outside while I cut out laminated cards of the First Presidency and the Twelve. Since we were making enough for all the kids and teachers, I cut out 120 sets of 15 cards. It's pretty scary to see how wild she looks after only a couple hours of lax supervision. Sorry Kyrie!

Kissing Cousins

Brielle and Piper have their first photo shoot. Since they are only two weeks apart I predict many photo shoots in the future.

Pretty Pretty Princess

Kyrie models her Halloween Costume.

Unfortunately, she hasn't worn the dress since, and she's broken all her jewelry.

Kadon is Batman, and Kyrie didn't think a princess was scary enough to fight Batman, so she resurrected her ladybug costume from last year. Since Kyrie is terrified of all bugs, a ladybug is the perfect arch nemesis for Batman in her mind.

I'll try to get some shots of their epic battles to post.
